Antariksha Sanchar

I initially started collaborating on Antariksha Sanchar as a consultant, to help define a gameplay strategy for this culturally-rich video game project, which is supported by Epic Megagrants. I have since shifted to the role of Game Director to oversee gameplay and level design as well as elements of narrative design—a role that requires sensitivity to the narrative’s rich cultural backstory and characters, and an ability to find solutions to embed them within the structure of gameplay. My background as an artist means that I am also involved in shaping character and environment art. Working as part of a remote, distributed team means that the need to efficiently set design constraints and direction—and do so in visually concise ways—has been vital to ensure the team’s productivity.
